I’m just getting started into my freelance journalism career. I’ve gotten advice to take a class at college or community outreach program, read articles in Writer’s Market, and contact my local newpaper. I’ve contacted my local newspaper, that’s why I posted my stringer question, and read Writer’s Market. For most markets, they said to start with fillers or department columns, esp. for magazines. But as for classes, I don’t have the money right now, unless it’s free. Any advice for professional freelance journalists out there?

The majority lose their money and sink away. So what do the majority do that make them fail on the stock market? Any links to websites or articles/advice of what not to do wrong when investing in stocks?

I attended thier so called interview with a group of people and thier prodcut seems like a quality product cutting a penny with sissory, sand paper with a steak knife and rope with a serraded edge knife. But they seem a little like their following the Pyramid Scheme a little. The only reason I have my doubts is because they let you get your money back when you return the sample produc which you have to buy for demonstartion purposes at 70% off for 146.18 and they require you to sell to your family and friends setting up appts giving demonstrations. Base pay is 15 but only per appt and or commision which ever is higher. They showed us a college text book with Vector Marketing in it as a good company and a very old news paper article of the president of the company explaining his success and showing how they been around since 1982 or something like that. I feel a little concerned because I think he was making up some lies during the private interview about how not everyone gets hired when they pretty much do. Thier is no back ground check of any kind and requrie you to attend unpaid trainnig sessions.
