Fox News is obviously biased?

Why are the liberals so upset by it? Why can’t liberals see the news from a conservative’s point of view and admit there is a liberal bias? I’ve read articles from newspapers about soldiers who recently died in Iraq and they spin the article from honoring a fallen soldier to make it into a Bush bashing. Is that right for the family of the soldier?

What are some things that you do to increase your self-confidence so that you take more risks in life?

Sometimes I don’t apply for high-level jobs that technically speaking, I am qualified for, because I have a sense of not being "good enough." I don’t submit articles to profitable markets for the same reason.

What do you know about the Met Office winter predictions?

My source spins quite a tale about the Met Office. The gist of it is this: The Met Office publicly published winter predictions for Europe for mild temperatures. At the same time, it apparently told the government (UK) in confidence that this winter would be more severe than average.

I realize my source is a skeptical website but regardless, does anyone have any concrete information on this? It would seem to me that if the UK government had this info yet did not bolster salt levels or winter maintenance budgets, I would imagine the public might be irritated by that.

(Note, this is my third attempt at this question. My links are obviously being the problem. This time, I only have a news source. If they stop questions with news sources as the links we have a problem.)

Eric, I know that it (my previous question) has not been deleted but it has been removed from the main stream. Can you see it in the Global Warming section? I can’t.

Edit my article for the school paper?

Title: Will the Real Slim Shady Please Standup?

They can be found in the Hallway by the Great Hall during lunch; at the back gate; in the park; in applied math classes…

Wearing baggy clothing, basketball shoes, and funny looking hats that their mothers purchased for them…

Who are these people? What do they want? If you are after the answers to these questions, then look no further, and leave that Eminem album on the shelf, because we here at The Maverick are about to provide those answers for you.

These people are referred to as Wangsters. This term is a combination of the words “wannabe”, and, “gangsters”. Wangsters are generally middle-class kids from the suburbs. They act the way they do because they want to be gangsters. One might wonder how they know what gangsters act like. The answer to this is: music videos. You know the ones where the Rich African American celebrities pretend to commit crimes, and act tough in front of cameras? Wangsters actually idolize these fakers. Let me run that by you again: Middle class suburban kids dress and act like these celebrities in an attempt to be more “gangster”. It seems strange doesn’t it? Upon discovering this, we here at the Maverick speculated about why these kids feel the need to play this ridiculous role.

An anonymous Meadowdale Junior has one theory,

“Clearly these people are out of their minds. Very, very far outside of their minds. So far outside that there is only one possible explanation. Aliens. Aliens abducted a large group of Meadowdale teenagers, and stole their minds. The minds were replaced with alien minds. When the human bodies were returned to Earth with the Alien minds inside, they happened to be placed into a room where an Eminem music video was playing on the television. These Aliens, not knowing how to act, decided collectively that they were going to impersonate Eminem.”

That’s one theory. There are however, several holes in this. First of all, many of the Meadowdale teenagers seem to impersonate celebrities other than Eminem. Some dress and act more like 50 cent, others like Insane Clown Posse, (a rap group from___________). An Alternative theory suggests that these teenagers are robots, who were created as part of a failed marketing campaign by the clothing line Echo. However, after extensive research and field studies, The Maverick has come up with it’s own theory. We at The Maverick believe that these people do what they because of low self esteem.

If our theory seems kind of mundane and boring, that’s because it is. When we really dove into it, we found out that everything about these people is fairly mundane and boring. They are just like the rest of us, and suffer from nothing more than a lack of personal identity. Rather than getting into art, music, sports, or college, these folks got into baggy pants. Are baggy pants a legitimate solution to the problem that we as teenagers face? Well, we’re going to leave that up to you.

it’s still in rough draft form. It’s not a serious article, but I welcome serious criticism ( :

Ok, no BS or spin libs…why do you all blame Republicans and Bush for the economy?

I don’t want to hear about Gramm or have to put my tinfoil hat on to hear your answers. Make it detailed, intelligent, and concise. I’ve read too many articles from real journalists who work Wall Street; hit me with your best "It’s the Republicans fault because….." that any business person would understand. Otherwise, I’ll have to say the libs are primarily responsible for our current economic crisis because of the mortgage meltdown for which they bear a lot of responsibility (I have lots of credible journalistic sources to prove my side, but I’m always willing to listen to any other viewpoint if it’s factual).
Ok, lots of good one line zingers but no real evidence it’s the Republicans fault? Come on, I know there’s a few libs out there who studied econ 101?!?!
Blah blah Bush 8 years blah blah…..come on, give me real information from good sources!
