I can safely say that it is not bogus like the first poster mentioned. That said, there are several factors involved in the project. Do you need to do research to write the 500-1000 words? How many revisions will the client get? Does the writing require a knowledge or skill that you possess but few other people do? These are all factors. This answer may be 250 words, and I am doing it for free. But I am just throwing !@#$%^ on a page. Question... How much money will make you happy? Go with that.
