Gonna need some spin on this one. Isn't it sad that the cops are always right?

The BART "shooter" told investigators to take a hike.

"The BART police officer who fatally shot an unarmed man on an Oakland train platform and then refused to explain his actions to investigators was arrested Tuesday in Nevada on suspicion of murder, authorities said."

Spin it, Bay-bee. Spin it.
Trooper: I’m disappointed. We all know that when one refuses to talk to the investigators, they are hiding something, right?

I mean, we ALL know that, don’t we?

Isn’t that true? Not talking to the cops, not answering questions, etc. means you are hiding something?

If the cop has done nothing wrong, he has nothing to worry about, right? Just answer the questions.
The Truth: Sounds like he’s hiding something. Typical criminal.
Weapon 3: So, the cop is innocent until proven guilty, and the citizen is guilty until proven innocent . . .

I think I see what you’re saying.

    Spin in the electric chair.

  2. All knowing, All Seeing says:

He is taking his attorney’s advice, just like you would.

    Spin that.

What do you want to spin. Apparently the investigation is still going on. I’m assuming nobody on here was actually there but if it happened as you are saying then he doesn’t deserve to be defended by anyone. Regardless of whether he’s a cop or not. And yes if he is refusing to talk then I’m thinking he might be hiding something – but not having been there I really don’t know for sure how it happened. But he does have the right not to talk. Just like anyone else would. This whole thing seems odd to me.

There were a lot of things wrong with what happened, but the officer did not draw his gun and intentionally shoot this person in the back even though it may seem so. It is something called ‘Accidental Discharge’. Now that doesn’t mean the officer isn’t responsible for his actions it only means he didn’t intend to murder this person. He had his finger on the trigger and the gun went off unfortunately killing Mr. Grant. If you look at the officers reaction right after his gun fires, his body language shows confusion and dismay, he looks at the other officer and it is like he is asking him what happened. I just want to know why he even drew his gun in the first place. What else was going on off camera? Let the facts fall into place before we start to burn buildings down.

The right to remain silent and not incriminate yourself.

    The same rights you have.

No spin necessary, The US Constitution takes care of the explanation.

What spin? That statement sounds pretty straightforward.

Edit: Actually, not talking with investigators DOES NOT mean a person is hiding something. In today’s criminal and judicial climate, it is self preservation to AVOID comment without legal counsel. Remember this: Do you recall that the parents of JonBenet Ramsey refused to talk with investigators? They were hounded for years. Now, investigators say they have evidence that EXCLUDES the Ramseys totally.
    Ya never know……
